He's not perfect, but he's all I want...
I’m your average girl at your average high school, trying to figure out my place in life. After catching my now ex-boyfriend messing around with my now ex-best friend, I’ve made some big changes. No more band, no more backstabbing friends and no more boring old life. Now I have new friends, a new job and new interests.
But there’s a certain someone who’s interested in me, and I don’t get it. Jordan Tuttle could have anyone he wants. He’s the most popular boy in school. Rich, gorgeous, smart and the star quarterback, he’s perfect. Yet he acts like he wants no one else but…me.
So despite my fears and doubt, I let him get close. Probably too close. I discover that he’s not so perfect after all, but it doesn’t matter. I’m falling for him, even though he runs so hot and cold. I know someday he’s going to break my heart.
And I’m going to let him.

WHOA! Now if you have followed my blog/reviews for awhile then you know how much I love YA. Its a cleanser to my palette. When I need something to break up the monotony and just need something cute and this fit that and I FREAKING LOVED IT.

In Just Friends we saw Livvy and I liked that story. I thought this book was going to be a continuation of those characters but I was surprised and excited that this is Amanda's book. Alright Amanda Winters is Livvy's friend and this book and the previous book follow the same timeline. I liked Livvy in Just Friends but for me I connected and related more to Amanda. Like most people Amanda is not perfect by any means but her character grows in this book which always keeps me intrigued. The growth of characters if done right I feel helps the reader connect more and Monica did a great job with that.

Jordan Tuttle. While Amanda is the good girl she isn't one of the popular girls, but Jordan is popular and the quarterback. I mean seriously this guy was just....
But there were times I was frustrated with him. But then he'd do something else and my heart would be so happy. He is a very mysterious guy who is closed off but I don't know why I love these types of complex characters because as I read I learned more and more. Slowly we get to see the layers peeled back and it made me fall and care so much for him. Of course there were points as stated above where I was like SERIOUSLY WTF?!

Monica has created a world that has angst, drama, love and friendship. High school can be daunting and I think she did an amazing job with these characters. Amanda and Jordan are not too over the top but they are in high school so at times that does show (which I wouldn't expect anything less since this is YA.) but she managed to do it in such a way that the I had to keep reading because I had to know what was going to happen next.
