~~Author Spotlight: Bree Pierce and Giveaway~~

1.       Name- Bree Pierce
  1. 2.       Where you are from- Arkansas
    3.       Writing Genre- Paranormal Romance, but I have a Romance novella out as well.
    4.       Tell us about yourself-  I have always lived in Arkansas.  I am married with three children and a dog.  Two of my children are too small to be in school so I stay home with them.  Being a stay-at-home-mom can be quite a challenge at times, but I love it.  It allows me to spend more time with the kids and do some writing when the baby is asleep.  Ever since I was a child, I liked to write and have been devouring as many books as I can get my hands on.  Fun fact: red heads are pretty prevalent in my books.
    5.       Your latest work in progress- Well, I recently published a short prequel called Cain, The Immortal: The Beginning and I am currently working on a longer book to follow that one.  I am also working on a short historical fiction piece.
    6.       When did you begin writing and why?  I don’t remember why I started writing, but I don’t ever remember a time where I didn’t like to write.  It’s always something I have enjoyed, but never dared to share with the rest of the world until my first novella, Balloons in the Yard, was released in January of this year.
    7.       What inspires you to write?- Random things really.  This one time I saw someone post that their neighbors randomly keep balloons tied in their yard for no apparent reason.  So I came up with the idea to write about a group of vampires that lived underground and lured children to their lair to keep for blood when they needed it and to turn into vampires when they were older.  That was how Balloons in the Yard was born.  The sequel, Venom, came about by just chatting with my husband.  He’s great to bounce ideas off of.  And yet another of my books, Stay With Me, came about because of a dream I had.  If you look around, you can find inspiration in such small things.
    8.       Are any of your books based on something personal that has happened in your life?  Yes.  The romance novella, Stay With Me, is personal for me because I was a single mom at one point so I know how difficult it is and that is basically what Valerie Gibson is, the main character.  This was a particularly difficult book for me to write because of my past experience.  However, not everything that happens to Valerie necessarily happened to me.
    9.       Who are some of your favorite authors?- First off, I love classical books, but my absolute favorite author has always been Jane Austen.  I read Shakespeare as a young teen as well.  Now I read books from Erica Stevens, Tara Brown, Anne Rice, and more.  There is no way for me to have just one favorite of that group.
    10.   Favorite book?- Pride and Prejudice.  It has been my favorite for at least 15 years now.
    11.   Would you change anything that has happened to you?- I think that although I have certainly had my share of bad to happen in my life, I would not necessarily change it because all of that made me who I am now.  However, I would have started publishing books much earlier, if I could change something.
    12.   Can you share some of your WIP?
    13.   What’s the hardest part of writing?  Formatting.  I am not very good at it.  And if you are still trying to get started, it can be hard to get your name out there too.
    14.   Do you have any advice for other authors?  Hang in there.  Sometimes being an author is a harrowing journey.
    15.   Do you have any other hobbies?   I love watching movies and reading books, but I also like to cook and sew (although I am not great on a sewing machine).
    16.   Favorite TV show and song?  I am a diehard Walking Dead fan.  Daryl Dixon is the only man in Hollywood who could be covered in blood and guts with women still swooning at his feet.  As for Michonne, she’s just awesome.

    Fast Fire Round Pick One:
    1.       Beard or No Beard?  Beard, for sure.  Who doesn’t like the Brawny Man with his plain shirt, hugging jeans, beard, and axe?
    2.       Long Hair or Short?  I could roll either way on that.
    3.       Sour or Sweet?         Both, together.
    4.       Tall or Short?            Either.  I’m more about chemisty.
    5.       Ice Cream or Candy?     I love ice cream, but if Reeses is considered candy, then I would choose that any day.  And I’m not one to be able to eat just one either.  I will eat a whole bag of the smaller Reeses.

This book was so good. It’s not a long read but it’s filled with everything you need. A girl who wants to lose her virginity to her brother’s best friend and gets denied. Then later she sees him again. I don’t want to go into detail of this book but the ending left me saying WTF. I need more Marie.

From International Amazon Bestselling Contemporary Romance Author comes book 3 of the #1 Bestselling The Love Series in fiction/drama/women authors.

Warning, book 3 of The Love Series is about bad boy extraordinaire Derk Forester. This novel contains strong/foul language, violence, and sex. After all, he works for the mob. No rainbows or kittens in his story. Possibly a puppy. Oh, and no cliffhangers in this series.

Dangerous Love:

Derk Forester is a man who's used to getting what he wants when he wants. He takes, conquers, then saunters away in all aspects of his life - work and play. Years embedded deep in the mob and a sour taste for relationships, he has zero desire to find a permanent partner to make a home with. His carefree lifestyle leaves him with a long list of inconsequential, bed-rocking, no-strings-attached women. A daily life he relishes until he meets...her. The one woman who could alter his world. The one woman he can't get out of his head. The one woman who could bring him to his knees. The one woman who could be used against him.

If it wasn't for bad luck, Mackenzie Hiland would have no luck at all. A cheating husband, shafted by the courts, no money or home, her life is a dismal list of horrible choices and even worse consequences. After acknowledging she needs to change her decision making skills, Mackenzie can't help but to be lured in by the dangerous man, who's taken an interest in her and is blatant in his desire to get her into his bed. Despite the fact she tries to distance herself from Derk, he refuses her rejections. Will Derk become another addition to the long list of regretful decisions she's made? Could Derk possibly be the man that doesn't screw her over? Or will Derk be the one choice that finally takes her to a point of no return?

*Dangerous Love is book 3 of The Love Series. Though this is not a cliffhanger series and the novel can be read as a standalone, you might find it more enjoyable to read the entire series.

**Warning: Not suitable for under 18 yrs of age. Contains strong language, violence, and sex.

Dangerous Love (The Love Series) Excerpt:

Mackenzie’s body felt like lead weight. Amazing how a head injury messed with your entire body. When she'd taken the tumble off the bar, thanks to a spilled beer, she'd been embarrassed as hell. A trip to the ER confirmed she had a mild concussion. After orders to take a week off work, see a concussion specialist, and given pain meds, she came home and cried into her pillow. She was spent. Emotionally and physically. Her life was a royal mess. Things needed to change. Her life needed a new, positive direction. She was so sick of being this fragile woman with only small glimpses of fight. She needed to take control of her life instead of allowing circumstances and others to pull and yank her along. That was the way her life had played out since she could remember. There hadn't been a time in her life that she wasn't tossed around by others, as if she was an expendable piece of furniture. Enough was enough. And enough of feeling sorry for herself.

A knock on the bedroom door interrupted her self-imposed sorrow.

            "Come in," she rasped.

The door opened and the bane of her existence sauntered in. All six foot three inches of pure menacing masculinity.

            "Hey," he said softly.

She didn't move. She couldn't. Her body severely ached.

"I heard you took a fall," he said, shoving his hands into his jeans pocket and leaning against the chest of drawers.

She still refused to answer. As*.

"I came to check on you," he said, shuffling from foot to foot.

That sort of amused her. She would place money on that he rarely felt uncomfortable in any given situation.

He took a couple short steps toward her.

            "How are you feeling?"

His scent of cigarettes mixed with soap and shampoo wafted her direction. She closed her eyes and inhaled the intoxicating combo.

When she opened her lids, he was next to her, kneeling on the floor. He gently brushed her matted hair off her face.

            "Do you need anything?"
Tears filled her eyes. He seemed genuinely concerned over her, yet she couldn't get the image of him f*&king another woman in a public hallway out of her mind.

"I saw you." Her voice soft and shaky.

His brows knitted together, and he tilted his head to the side.

            "Last night,” she elaborated.

He blinked, confused. Then it clearly registered when he figured out what she was referring to. His face grew surprised, followed by a quick panic, replaced by a coolness she was positive he constantly wore. He slumped down onto the floor and ran a hand across the back of his neck.

"I'm sorry," he said simply.

"If you supposedly like me so much, why would you do that?"

"M," he raised a brow, "you threw me out of your place. We're not in a relationship. Yes, I want you, badly, but we're not a couple. If you had a guy in here last night there's absolutely nothing I could say or do about that. Though, that doesn't set well with me." He paused. "Ironic, huh?"

            Damn it, he was right.

He reached up and ran a calloused finger down her cheek. "Tell you what, why don't we start this over again. I came on too strong and fast. I'm used to getting what I want, when I want it. I see, I take. You, I need to savor."

Their eyes locked. He held onto her gaze, and she felt that raw pull between them. She'd experienced it that first night he gave her that scorching kiss. Like an invisible flame that burned from him and she was the moth. Unable to help herself from wanting to get close.

There was absolutely nothing in his personality that said he was a man who attempted to woo a woman. This wasn’t a hearts and flowers man. She should appreciate his brutal honesty. But what could they possibly have in common? Obviously, he was unscrupulous beyond comprehension. That was written all over him as if he advertised it. She was entirely opposite. Could opposites truly attract or was she setting herself up to take a fall? Again.

"I'm tired," she said softly, unable to think. The process painfully ripped through her.

He kicked off his shoes, stood, and whipped off his belt, then crawled on the bed and slid in behind her. He pulled her body flush against his and spooned her. Burying his nose into her hair, he murmured, "Get some rest."

For the first time in what felt like forever, her body melted into a man's warmth. She felt protected and safe. Derk’s scent wrapped around her senses, relaxed her. His muscular arm securely circling her waist made her feel tiny and dainty. Even though she didn't want to need that feeling any longer, she couldn't help to relish it. How could she possibly consider a relationship with a man like him? She couldn't. Their days would be numbered. It was only a matter of time before he’d grow bored. There was only one thing to do, if he truly planned to seduce and court her−protect her heart.

Dangerous Love (The Love Series) excerpt:

A few minutes after ten, Derk and Smith sauntered into Cards to find it filled with wall to wall drunks.

            "Holy sh*t," Derk spat.

Mackenzie was on top of the bar with Kayla and two other bartenders doing some sort of dance, gyrating to the pulse of the music. He could have sworn he felt his blood pressure spike. F*&k this shit. It was bad enough she just recovered from a concussion from dancing on that cesspool of a bar, but to be on display like a pole dancer. Forget it. Not his girl. She needed to find a goddamn secretary job.

Seeing red, he stormed right up to the bar, shoved drunk bastards out of his way, until he stood below her. It only took a moment for her to catch his eye. A flash of fear lit those beautiful blues. Luckily for her and everyone else nearby, it was the end of the number. She jumped off the bar to a round of applause and went right back to pouring drafts. Conveniently out of arm’s reach. When she approached him, he reached across the bar and yanked her close.

"I don’t like it," he growled. Eyes narrowed, he studied her as she nervously bit her lip. The caveman in him wanted to toss her over his shoulder and cart her the f*&k out of the disease infested place. Buuuut, that would more than likely have her screaming, and the only time he ever wanted to hear her shriek was when he was pounding into that tight body.

F&%k. F*&k. F*&k.

How the hell did he deal with this? He wasn't used to wanting a woman so badly he went all alpha or whatever. It made him feel...exposed, like he was gonna lose his sh@t.

"You realize you don't have a say in what I do for a living," she challenged, her voice unsure.

"You really want to get into it with me, Mac? Do you?" he countered, totally turned on by her defiance.

Shrugging, she looked him dead in the eyes. "Do you really want to get into this debate with me?"

She squared her shoulders and straightened her spine, ready for a battle.

Assaulting her mouth, he kissed her hard, his tongue reaching as far back as it would go. He was so f*&king hot for her, he wanted to take her on the dirty-a** wood bar. Apparently, she was just as hot, because she met him stroke for stroke as their tongues danced violently. He dislodged their lip lock. "Mac, you're mine tonight."

Her eyes glittered excitedly. "You think?"

"You don't have a f*&king choice, M. I'm tired of waiting for you. No more." Derk released his grip on her and reluctantly allowed her to return to her duties. Raking his eyes up and down her fine body, little did she know what she was in for when she clocked out in a couple hours. Waving toward the far end of bar, she let him know where she was stationed for the night. He and Smith muscled their way and not-so-gently escorted two barely twenty-one year old punks off two stools.

Mac quickly slid a beer in front of them, then went about her business. Derk ran a hand through his hair and released a long breath. He picked up his longneck and took a drag, his eyes plastered to Mac. As if she could feel his penetrating gaze upon her, she turned his direction and her cheeks pinked. Snorting, he crooked a finger at her. The minx sauntered over to him and leaned on the bar, teasing him with her perfect breasts.

"You're coming home with me after work," he demanded.

Narrowing her eyes, she said, "Are you asking or telling me?"

About to admit that was a direct order, he clamped his mouth shut.

"Will you?" he asked, with only a hint less demand.

She rolled her eyes which caused Smith to chuckle. A rarity for the man.

            "You look tired."

            "It's been a sh*tty day," he admitted.

Nodding, as if she sensed that, she relented. "Okay."

"I'll pick you up," he said. "Three?"

"No, midnight. I get off early." She gave him the most awesome wicked smile.
He leaned over into her personal space. "You don't have to work here, you know."

Furrowing her brows. "What do you mean?"

            "Just saying." He shrugged.

Sh*t, what the hell was that? Sometimes that brain filter thing shut off on him. Now wasn't the time to spew stupid crap like she could live with him and he'd take care of her.

Beside him, Smith quietly chuckled, again. He'd kick the bastard if he didn't think Smith would retaliate with a bullet to his knee cap.

Derk picked up his beer and downed it, tossed some cash on the bar, then stood to leave. Leaning over, he grabbed Mac at the nape of her neck and pulled her in for a blazing goodbye kiss.

When he had enough of her taste to tie him over until later, he stalked out of the place before he opened his mouth and said more crazy, stupid sh*t.

Silent Love (The Love Series) excerpt:

Sean followed Beth to her parents' front door. This meeting could make or break their relationship. They'd been dating for close to two months and things were terrific. Well, maybe an occasional hiccup here and there when Beth got into her own head, but he dealt with those moments, then they moved forward. But a few days ago, before this planned dinner, Beth went home to talk to her parents. When she returned to his house three hours later, she remained unusually quiet and refused to discuss what happened between her and her parents. That had him worried for days. Now, here he was, feeling like he was walking into the lion's den.
Beth opened the front door and stepped inside. "Mom. Dad," she called out.
An older version of Beth rounded the corner towards the back of the house. Good lord, if that was how Beth would look in thirty years, with any luck, Sean would still have her on his arm, he was a damn lucky man. Mrs. Connor was a knockout. Though she stood a couple inches taller than Beth, they could pass for sisters.
"Hi, honey," Mrs. Connors said. Her eyes scanned Sean, but she approached her only child and embraced her with a secure hold. When she pulled back, Beth's mom looked her up and down. "You look fantastic. You glow."
Naturally Beth flushed bright red. Sean wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his body for security. She melted into him, and Mrs. Connors perceptive eyes didn't miss their interaction.
"Mom," Beth said softly. "This is Sean Millen. Sean, this is my mother, Jill Connors."
"Mrs. Connors, it's nice to meet you," Sean said respectfully.
"Thank you, Sean. It's wonderful to meet you. Elizabeth has told me loads about you." She smiled lovingly at her daughter. Those matching ocean blue eyes of Beth's glittered with some sort of emotion he wasn't able to decipher. "Please, come inside and meet Mr. Connors."
They followed Jill down the hallway a few steps then took a left into a large living room. As they entered the room, Mr. Connors stood from a recliner in the far corner of the room.
Oh, Christ.
Mr. Connors was an older version of himself. Well, except add twenty pounds, four more inches in height, and two more inches in biceps, thighs, and chest. Clearly the man maintained his work out religiously, noticeable from all the bulging muscles that flexed as the man moved. A military haircut made his distinct features all the more intimidating. The man looked as young as his wife and was just as good looking. Sean would bet money in the man's early days he had his fair share of women. His laser glare focused straight in on him. Sh*t.
"Daddy," Beth said softly as she approached him.
Mr. Connors reluctantly tore his glare from Sean and focused on his daughter. As soon as his dark blue, piercing eyes met his daughter's ocean blues, the man visibly melted. His features lightened, and he actually smiled.
"Sweetheart," he said, leaned down and kissed her forehead.
"Daddy, I want to introduce you to Sean Millen. Sean, this is my dad, Michael Connors," she said.
Mike wrapped a possessive left arm around his daughter, tucked her into the crook of his body, and stuck out his right hand. "Mr. Millen."
"Mr. Connors," Sean said respectfully.
"My daughter tells me you were in the Navy," Mr. Connors tested.
"I was, sir," he answered. The air in the room was stiff and tense. Mrs. Connors stood in the background watching the scene looking as if she was ready to jump in to interject. Beth gnawed on her bottom lip, her eyes darting between her father and her boyfriend.
"She tells me you and your brother were SEALs."
"That's right," he answered.
Mr. Connors titled his head and studied Sean, sizing him up. "You both went in together?"
"Yes." For some reason, Sean didn't feel too chatty about his life. He didn't like the feel of the room or the interrogation. He was too damn old to put up with this sh*t. He wasn't an eighteen year old kid about to take a daughter to the prom. For f*&k's sake, he was going to be forty in less than two years.
"Why?" Mike barked.
Sean narrowed his eyes.
Immediately Mr. Connors shoved his daughter out from under his arm and got into Sean's face. "You think you're a badass? You think you can come into my house and get our blessing for dating my daughter who's more than ten years younger than you? You need to find someone your own age, SEAL."
He spat SEAL like it was a curse.
"Daddy!" Beth cried.
"Michael!" Jill scolded.
Sean refused to back down. "What is this, some sort of test to see if I'll walk away? Not. Going. To. Happen. I love your daughter. I respect her and admire her. I spend my days worrying about her and my nights holding her close." He took a step closer. "As for my tour in the Navy, I went so I could get a medical doctorate. My parents couldn't afford the schooling. My brother refused to allow me to go in alone. We've always been close, and we couldn't imagine leaving each other for that many years. It was the best decision both of us made."
"Michael," Jill said again. "Look at your daughter."
Mr. Connors' head snapped to his baby girl, whose face was red and tear streaked while her mother held her.
"Beth," Mike breathed. "I'm sorry, honey."
She hiccupped.
"Beth," Sean said softly.
She left her mother's arms and went straight to...Sean's and buried her head into his chest. He wrapped her up securely, kissed her head, and ran a soothing hand down her soft tresses. After a minute, he lifted her face to look him in the eyes. "It's all right, sweetheart," he assured her. "It'll be fine. We're just feeling each other out, baby. It's what we nasty military men do. We protect the women we love. You're father has probably done that your entire life, right?"
A sniffle and a nod was the only response he received.
"Elizabeth," Mr. Connors said with bite. Clearly he didn't like his daughter choosing her boyfriend over him.
Sean nodded to her father for her to focus on him. She looked her dad's direction but remained tight against Sean.
"You're my only daughter. My baby girl. No man, including this one standing in my living room, who just admitted you're sleeping with, is good enough for you. No one ever will be. I need to make certain he's in this for the right reasons," Mr. Connors insisted. He crossed his large arms over his broad chest. "Got a problem with that, young lady?"
"Dad," she protested.
"Do you?" he barked.
"Yes." Her head went up and her chin out.
Mike's eyes shined with adoration and respect. His mouth quirked up.
"Okay, enough testosterone before dinner," Jill interrupted and put an end to the palpable tension. "Dinner is ready. Everyone to the dining room."
She bustled out of the room with the group dutifully following her.
Beth remained in Sean's arms while they went to the dining room. Well, wouldn't that be a story to tell their grandchildren some day.

Tell us about yourself
Ummm, I love penguins. Like, really, really, really love them. Want one. As a pet.

Your latest work in progress
I just released the 3rd (and next to last) novel in The Love Series, Dangerous Love. And the title represents it plot well. (Nothing like a bad boy to get a girl all wound up.) Each novel in the series is about a different couple in a group that have some sort of relationship with one another.

When did you begin writing and why?
A few years ago (5-6 maybe?) I read a popular romance series and when finished, thought, "Wow, I'd have written that much differently." And I did. I wrote my own series that will never see the light of day. Lol. But I went on from there, writing different novels as an escape from daily life.

What inspires you to write?
Characters and stories that pop into my head. That's really it. I get a story that suddenly makes an appearance and I need to write it down. (Or more like type like a mad woman.)

Are any of your books based on something personal that has happened in your life?
Nope. Only the character Lynn from Unexpected Love is based loosely off the real life Lynn that I know. Well, her spunk and smart mouth.

Who are some of your favorite authors?
Lexi Blake! Totally a fan girl. Love her! All my fans know that it's Lexi, Lexi, Lexi. I also LOVE Tiffany Reisz. OMG, her Original Sinners series is beyond delicious. And if I can someday be half the author she is, I'll be escatic.

Favorite book?
Now that's like asking me what's my favorite type of chocolate. Wha??? Favorite book??? I can't pick one.

Would you change anything that has happened to you?
I plead the fifth, based on the fact that any answer could possible come back and bite me in the butt. (Plus, I'm a firm believer in learning from any event that  occurs in your life.)

Can you share some of your WIP?
Sure! This is chapter 1 of Taken Love (The Love Series), the final novel in the series.

  1

Two in the morning and Smith strolled through the local grocery store on a mission to find something to eat. It sucked ass. Twice he fended off drunk and/or high girls that he'd never consider giving the time of day. First, he didn't go for younger women. Too many grim memories. Second, he wanted them at least lucid when he took them home to his bed. For a guy it tended to be somewhat self-satisfying if a woman remembered his name the next morning.
In the prepared food aisle, he found nothing. Empty refrigerator cases mocked him. He stood in front of the blank units, a metaphor for his barren life. Thirty-four years old and he was in the middle of a supermarket in the wee hours of Saturday morning looking for food. Wouldn't that make a great Christmas card newsletter.
No, he hadn't just left a party. No, he didn't slip out of a woman's warm bed. He was headed home after tagging alongside Derrick Murphy, his sometimes boss, and his best friend Derk Forester all day. What did he have to look forward to when he walked through the front door of his home? Nothing. No woman waiting for him. No cat. No dog. Not a parrot or hamster.
"Damn it," a soft feminine voice said from behind him.
F*%k. Wrapped up in his own thoughts, someone managed to sneak up behind him. That, he couldn't allow. There was a novel length list of names that'd love to get the jump on him.
He glanced over his shoulder and did a double take.
A gorgeous petite blonde stood, gaping at the shelf he stood before. She wore black dress pants and a white button down oxford shirt, both covered in food remnants. In fact, it looked as if she'd rolled in spaghetti sauce and beef. What the hell happened to her?
"Not one hoagie? Nothing. I have to be back at work at eleven and am starving and this place never has anything for me to grab on the weekends. What the hell?" she complained out loud to herself, then stormed off mumbling. "I hate frozen food. It'll sit in my stomach all night."
Intrigued, Smith followed. Through the closed bakery section, the seafood section, the fresh meat department, pasta and dairy sections. She was entirely unaware he stalked her, and the entire time she complained. About everything. Her job, her work hours, her boss. She apparently had car issues and a crappy house.
He watched her pull a frozen Lean Cuisine meal out of a freezer case, slam the door, then march toward the check-outs. Smith continued to tail.
She was his type. Blonde, hair pulled back in a loose ponytail. Maybe five and a couple inchesat most.
The shady looking man behind the register creepily eyed her while he slowly rang up her meal. An odd sensation of the need to put a bullet in the man's head ran through him. He could. His ever-present Glock was conveniently strapped to his body.
            "Today," she snapped.
Smith grinned. She had spark. You tell him, sweetheart.
She pulled out a wad of one dollar bills and paid for her late-night meal.
"Don't bother with the bag," she growled, snatched the box and quickly left the building.
Smith continued his survey. He stood on the sidewalk and watched her climb into an old cobalt blue Chevy Cavalier. It took her three tries to get the car started. Smith took note of the license plate number as she pulled away. A number he'd give to Derk, who could hack the DMV records and find out more information, if he chose to go that route. Doubtful though. More than likely he'd forget about her by the time his brain shut off for the night.
After she drove away, he shoved his hands into his suit pants pockets and made his way to his Lexus GS. Sliding into the driver's seat, the engine purred to life with the press of a button. His body felt the long day start to take hold as the leather seats engulfed him. Even with his stomach screaming for nourishment, Smith ignored the pain. He wasn't in the mood to spend another second in the store or sit at a twenty-four hour grease-pit. He refused to upset his stomach with a frozen pizza or inhale what sparse amount food he had in his cupboards. Pulling out of the grocery story parking lot, he decided he'd eat a large breakfast in the morning. Probably at a dive diner. Wasn't life grand?

What’s the hardest part of writing?

Eeesh, isn't that a loaded question. I can't really pinpoint one item. It's a culmination of everything with regard to writing a novel. Making sure tenses are correct (horrible at those), not overly using adverbs (love them!), character and story arcs, keeping the novel flowing smoothly without losing the reader, showing not telling, and the list goes on and on. Oh, it's easy to write a story, it's not easy making sure all the correct elements are in place. Thank goodness for editors.

Do you have any advice for other authors?
This business is difficult. Extremely. I had no idea when I self-published my first novel the strain, time, money, and involvement it takes to be an author. This is not an overnight success business. Not even close. It takes some authors many years to get where they want. Time. It takes time and quite a few novels under your belt. So be patient. Oh, and be friendly and professional to your peers. A bad reputation goes a looooong way, trust me.

Do you have any other hobbies?
Is obsessing over Jamie Dornan a hobbie?

Favorite TV show and song?
Walking Dead and The Fall. (Again, with the Jamie Dornan fixation and it's all because of this show. You MUST watch it. He's so psychotic it's wonderful!)
