Our Top Books of 2014!!!

I made a video, but when I was editing it I noticed that I wasn't very engaging and then my computer messed up! Pretty much this has been me since 3AM
Yup I have been up all yesterday, made the video was done by 4am, started editing went to sleep for 3hrs and now I just gave up on all that. Maybe when I am not so sleepy I can focus better, who knows.

Alright anyways first off I want to say I am so thankful and happy because today marks the blogs 2 yr BLOGIVERSARY! I am so proud of the blog and thank you all for your continued support it means a lot to Shannon and I.

Second, I tried really hard to make a top 14 list buuuuttt....that did not happen because I am me and I read over 100 books this year. Instead I bring my top Idk 25 books?

Here they are in no particular order oh and ALSO, these are books I read in 2014 not necessarily books released in 2014.

Read all the way to the end of mine and all the widgets for the books on the list are there (I finally got it, only took 3 hrs!!!!)

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon because who doesn't love a guy in a kilt!

Toxic by Rachel Van Dyken. Gabe is hot and amazing.

Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher. This author I feel is so underrated and cannot believe more people have not discovered her. This book was thought provoking and had me balling!

Bait by M. Mabie. Love Triangles and cliffhangers not two words most bookies like to hear unless you are me! I love angst and drama. I wanted to kill some of the characters but M. Mabie executed this book so well that I am still reeling!

Fault in Our Stars by John Green because Augustus Waters!

Love in English by Karina Halle. I usually HATE older men and younger women romances but this one was set up so well. I also loved the fact that the author did not throw the age difference in my face every 2 sentences!!!

Come to me Quietly and Come to me Softly. I couldn't choose one and really should I have to? I mean Jared!

Raw by Belle Aurora. Gritty, dark, kinky and well raw. If you are a prude or do not like kinky sex DO NOT pick up this book. If you are like me and like to walk in the darkness at times then THIS is for you!

Objective by K. Larsen. I gave all the three books I have read from her either 4.5 or 5 Hearts. She is an author that I feel is a diamond in the ruff. Although I read 2 of her books this year I really really enjoyed Objectives story line.

Unforgiven by Rebecca Shea. Now I could have went with Undone cuz Landon. I just really loved Lindseys story of having to choose between her career and her true love.

Avoiding Amy Jackson By NA Alcorn. Amy is me, I am Amy. LOL kidding but I loved this story. It had me laughing from beginning to end. Seriously though I am AMY.

Inspire by Cora Carmack. This is Cora's first paranormal NA book and she knocked it out of the park. I am a sucker for paranormal and the fact that she wrote about a muse well...I've never seen it done and that right there is why she earned a spot on this list.

Ripped by Katy Evans. Katy has had me captivated since Real. She knows how to build a great story and I was not disappointed with Pandora and McKenna's. Thank goodness I now know why Pandora was well a bitchy man hater.

Breathe Again by Rachel Brookes. This story has my heart. Tate Conners has my heart. I have loved this journey with him and Savannah. Sad to see it end but, I loved the way it ended.

Ignite Me by Teherah Mafi. The 3rd book in the Shatter me series. This book was the epic conclusion to a journey of self discovery. I am still Team Kenji!   and Warner hehehe

Phenomenal X by Michelle Valentine. This was a year of firsts for me. I got to read books about subjects I never had before like this book for example. Xavier Cold is a wrestler. Never in my reading career did I ever dream I would read about a wrestler and freaking LOVE HIM to death but I have. Thanks M

The Evolution of Mara Dyer. 2nd book in the YA Paranormal Mara Dyer series. While I loved the first book and liked the last the second for me had the most meat of the story and well NOAH SHAW!

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover. You knew she would be on this list. Okay don't hate me because I chose this one over Ugly Love. Why? This story resonated deeply into my soul and I loved Ridge and Sydneys story. Oh and the pranks.

Beautiful Failure by Mariah Cole. This book is hard to explain but so fucking amazing. I can not believe more people have not read this book because it is that great!!!!!

Translucent by Erin Noelle, all I have to say is this book will forever stay with me because of that one scene that had my jaw dropped and me staring at my kindle saying WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK DID I JUST READ??

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. Okay if I have to explain anything about why this book is on here then we need to seriously talk!!!!

I cheated and is it really any surprise? I love these MC books. I love Jax Teller, when I read these they reminded me of SOA. Gritter, raw-er, fucked up-er, better, and just plain wonderful-er! Okay so the gore isn't as bad as SOA but these guys are pretty bad ass. I couldn't chose one book in the 4 books I have read in the series soooo I chose them all.
The books are The Reapers MC series. Seriously if you have not read these GET. ON. IT. NOW!!!! I really enjoyed Devils Game because it reminded me of a fucked up Romeo and Juliet story. I'm a sucker for those and guys in cuts and who drive motorcycles.

Reapers Property
Reapers Legacy
Devils Game
Reapers Stand

So the next few books are by one author and I could not chose just one. This author is in my all time top 5 favorite authors. She takes me out of reading slumps. She is a beast and put out books like there is no tomorrow.

Anything Jessica Sorensen makes the list.
I read this year...
The Resolution of Calli and Kayden
The Probability of Violet and Luke
The Certainty of Violet and Luke and
Sins and Secrets

Lastly this is another of my all time favorite authors. Again all of her books make my list because it is impossible to chose just one. I love the fact that she can seamlessly go from YA Paranormal, to NA Paranormal, to NA Contemporary to YA Suspense to Adult! Now that is skill people. If you haven't guessed by now then here it is

Jennifer L Armentrout
This year I read...

Wicked (NA Paranormal, 1st book in A Wicked Saga series)

Onyx (YA Paranormal/sci-fi 2nd book in the Lux series)

White Hot Kiss (YA Paranormal, First book in the Dark Elements Series)

Stone Cold Touch (YA Paranormal also second book in the Dark Elements series)

Wait for you (NA Contemporary romance 1st book in the Wait for You series)

Be with Me (NA Contemporary romance 2nd book in the Wait for You series)

Stay With Me (NA Contemporary romance 3rd book in the Wait for You series)

Trust In me (NA Contemporary romance Novella for the Wait for You series)

Half Blood (YA Paranormal 1st book in the Covenant series)

I am determined to read ALL of her books. As you can see I am well on my way.

Jaden Release Day Blitz by Tijan

Being framed for murder sucks. Being framed for the murder of your old friend-turned-enemy-turned-maybe-friend-again sucks even worse. The old Sheldon would’ve raised hell, but no, I’ve been nice. I’ve been quiet. I’ve not said a word while the headlines rip me to shreds, but now? All bets are off. I’m going to find out who did this to me and I’m going to make them pay. I don’t care who will get hurt in the process.

Everything was covered with trees and forest, but then we got a view of a mansion. It looked like a castle, and my eyes couldn’t help but go wide. Whose was this? And then the front door opened, and I jerked forward in the seat. My seatbelt tightened and I was shoved back, but I couldn’t look away. I couldn’t close my mouth. Everything stopped in that moment. When we slid to a stop and the lawyers got out of the car, I was slower. My body had trouble moving and my legs were stiff. My arms shook and my heart raced as I pulled myself up outside the car. I had to hold onto it or I would’ve fallen. I heard my knees knocking against each other. I couldn’t feel them, but I heard them. “Hello, Sheldon.” The man before me was in his forties. He was dressed in a black business suit, which fit him like a glove, and he gazed back at me. He waited for my reaction. There were no words. “Dad?”

Hello~ (waves) I didn't begin writing until after undergraduate college. There'd been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can't blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I'm hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

Sail by M. Mabie Cover Reveal

magic size

Sail

Book Two in The Wake Series

by M. Mabie

Releasing Early 2015

Synopsis:

This isn’t just a two-year long one-night stand. It’s my life. This is my life. Our life. It isn’t just some careless affair. I’ve made the worst decisions a woman could, but I’ll earn my second chance. She can try keeping all the guilt for herself, but I’m just as much to blame. Loving Casey wasn’t my biggest mistake. Fighting it for so long was. I’ll show her how fearless our love makes me. I’ll protect her torn heart. He still has magic in his eyes. He’s the man who makes me happy. Her voice still brings me to my knees. She says my name like it’s sacred. I live for the day when I’m his. To take care of him. To love him the way he deserves. I can’t wait to be all she needs. I can give her a happy life, security and so much love. Sometimes two ships never meet in the night, but ours did. Sometimes the water is rough. It beats you all to hell until you have no choice but get stronger. Our love story reads more like a tragedy, but to me it’s clean and pure. Let them point their fingers. Without a love like ours, they haven’t really lived. I pity them. I’m a cheating wife and a villain. I am his honeybee. I’m a snake in the grass and I sleep best when I’m lying next to his wife. I want to be his everything. I’m nothing without her anyway. This isn’t even close to over. It’ll never be over.

Sail is the second book in the continuing Wake Series. For more information on the first book in the series see the link for Bait below.
