Darkest Before Dawn by Amelia Hutchins Blog Tour

Going through an apocalyptic event doesn't mean the end of the world.

My dad is a modern day Noah, you know building an ark, trying to save folks and getting my brother, and I ready for the impending end of days – whatever that means.

Nothing in his prepper manuals had us ready for what actually happened.

I had nothing to prepare me for Jaeden and Lachlan. Heck, I don’t know of any girl that would have been prepared for those two.

There was nothing to prepare us for the things that go bump in the night or zombies, although now that I think on it, zombies might have been easier to deal with than what really happened. No, an apocalyptic event is just a set-up for things in our world to be shaken AND stirred.

What will rise from the ruins remains to be seen.

About The Author

Amelia lives in the great Pacific Northwest with her family. When not writing, she can be found on her page Erotica Book Club hanging out with her favorite book junkies. She's an avid reader of everything paranormal romance.

I really liked this book. Now did everything about it tickle, my fancy? No. But let me explain a couple things. I didn't go into this book expecting a spinoff or same type of book as Fae Chronicles, I just expected the same type of writing style. So if you're thinking of reading this, keep Ryder and Syn off your brain. You can not compare the story lines, they're not even close.

That being said, Let's stick to the story at hand. From the beginning of the book Amelia sucked me right in and I was in deep. I mean a 22 year old responsible for the lives of so many, including her brother. *side note. I found it awkward to read about this during the whole Ebola cleveland out real scare** anyway xxx the way Amelia writes her stories, she sucks me in and I'm sucked into an alternate universe and not thinking or focusing on anything but what happens next. And I love that about the way she writes, it's what makes for amazing stories. I immediately felt for Emma with everything going on, everything she's been through and everything she has to do.

Enter Lachlan and .. sigh.. jaedan. Two hot as hell men who don't really get along. Now, am I fan of the virginal thing, no. But if factors into the story and matters, so it's something to ofwrlook. And not do I overlook it because Amelia can write some hot as hell down and dirty scenes. And I mean talk a way outside, panty melting, battery operated friendship needed. The hot and cold from both Emma and Jaedan made me roll my eyes some, but it also played into the sexual tensions. Again, it's overlooked for that chemistry that pours off the page when you read them together. I loved the way Amelia had their story unfold. Am I happy it's a series, hells nah, cause k want more now. I can't wait to see what info Emma gets from her moms stuff. And I can't wait for ER to avenge those she's lost. I also can't wait to see how her story unfolds.

I think Amelia did a great job wit this story. It's unconventional and different, steamy and hot, and definitely addictive. I give it 4.5 hearts
