Reaper's Property and Reaper's Legacy by Joanna Wylde, review by Dee

Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1)Reaper's Property by Joanna Wylde

My rating: 5 of 5 hearts

Synopsis:
Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.
Maybe.

A Romantica® contemporary erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

HOLY CRAP. I was in need of gritty, raw, dirty MC book and holy crap on a cracker, Joanna Wylde certainly delivers! If my best of 2013 list wasn't already written up and about to be published for the blog, this book would be on it! HOLY CRAP!

I don't have enough good things to say about this book. I love Horse. I absolutely love him. I love the whole story of Horse and Marie. Well, without the Gary stuff, but everything else.. well, okay, even then too. But he handles it.

It's like he knew from that picnic table bikini moment, he knew she was his and he wasn't stopping until she wore his patch. They had some real ups and downs. And damn, that down when she refused his patch was low. I was so upset. In my chair yelling WHY MARIE WHYYYYY!

But then opportunity knocks. . . I could not BELIEVE what Horse did to get her in his bed. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Though part of me was actually laughing. I found it quite humorous. Though what happens once he has her there is anything but. And all the sudden, mousy like Marie becomes this gun toting, bad ass woman. And dear lord, the bonfire!! Wowza! That's hot!

I was getting so confused though, I didn't know who to believe when the drama was going down. DO we believe her brother? DO we believe Horse? Do we believe Max? What is going on???!?!? Part of me wishes that Horse and Max got into more when he took her home after seeing Horse at The Line..I mean, you can't say he didn't deserve it. That A-hole! But.. it all worked out. Especially in the end when Marie went all "pump fiction", Pic's words not mine, to protect her man. I love this book. And in fact, I think I found a new MC book to be obsessed with!

I gave this 5 hearts.. when really it deserves so much more.

Reaper's Legacy (Reapers MC, #2)Reaper's Legacy by Joanna Wylde

My rating: 5 of 5 hearts

Synopsis
Eight years ago, Sophie gave her heart—and her virginity—to Zach Barrett on a night that couldn’t have been less romantic or more embarrassing. Zach’s step-brother, a steely-muscled, tattooed biker named Ruger, caught them in the act, getting a peep show of Sophie he’s never forgotten.

She may have lost her dignity that fateful night, but Sophie also gained something precious—her son Noah. Unfortunately, Zach’s a deadbeat dad, leaving Ruger to be Noah’s only male role model. When he discovers Sophie and his nephew living in near poverty, Ruger takes matters into his own hands—with the help of the Reapers Motorcycle Club—to give them a better life.

Living with outlaw bikers wasn’t Sophie’s plan for her son, but Ruger isn’t giving her a choice. He’ll be there for Noah, whether she wants him or not. But Sophie does want him, has always wanted him. Now
she’ll learn that taking a biker to bed can get a girl dirty in every way…

I didn't know if Joanna was going to do me dirty on this one like she did on the previous, Reaper's Property. You know dirty, raw, gritty, ugly, hot, erotic read. Oh, don't worry. She delivers, and delivers oh. so. well.

This book, I have to sadly admit with my tail between my legs, I may have liked more than I liked book one. And I LOVED Reaper's Property. I don't know what it is about Ruger, actually I think it may be all the piercings, whatever it is, please sign me up for more. He's so alpha. So .. just all around yummy.

And then you see his interactions with Noah, and swoon. I know, you don't swoon over a big badass biker, but .. yeah, I did. He is such a man whore, so when things started to play out, I wasn't sure how it was going to work. Way to throw a bucket of cold water on me mafia style Ruger, thanks for that.

I was all about what was going down in the shed, then BAM.. cold water in the face. I could not believe it. That flips a switch of hot to cold, immediately. And I can't blame Sophie's reaction at all. I would have reacted the same way. It was kind of insulting. Mr Cake and eat it too. I do absolutely love the relationship she forms with the old ladies though. I love how close they become. And I do have to admit, I do also love the little lessons that Ruger teaches Sophie about the club. They're not just an MC, they're family, they're safe, they have his back no matter what. I will also admit, I love that Ruger is there for Sophie, no matter what. Nothing like a little dose of being scared shitless to make you see what you want in life. How he stops denying what they have.

Way to man up Ruger, nicely done. And the shoulder tattoo.. I LOVE it. The patch, for both Sophie and Marie was priceless. Joanna does an amazing job on this book. It's an exceptional follow up. A book that no matter where I went or what I did, my head was still stuck with the Reaper's. Which, I must add, is not a bad place to be. Not bad at all.. This is another book that makes me wish my top of 2013 list isn't already written. This would have DEFINITELY made the list. This is definitely a new book obsession, every time I open a page of the Reaper's I get sucked in til it's over.

I gave this book 5 hearts also.. it too, deserved so much more!
