BLURB:
One night changed my life forever.

Beau Bennett has been my best friend since I can remember. He was my first crush before everything came crashing down, and now he wants more, but it's more than I can give him. Things are different now. I wish I could tell him why, but I can't.

I haven’t told anyone.

I never knew how much I really needed him until the day he left for college, and I was completely alone.

Then one day, Asher Hunt rides into town with his dark, captivating eyes and cocky grin. He doesn't care who I used to be, he's simply breathing life into what’s left. People warn me to stay away from him, but he helps me forget the pain that has held me hostage for so long; something I thought was impossible before he walked into my life.

I’ve been hurt.

I’ve been saved.

And I’ve found hope.

I thought my story was written that night, but now I know it was only a new beginning. Until one secret turns my world upside down…

Again.

****Sandie's Review****

Have you ever wanted to read a book so bad and could not wait and you're all jazzed and then you start reading and you feel like

The first few pages, had me already feeling sad. The further I read the more I was being pulled into so many directions. Sadness, frustration, anger, confusion.

I liked Kate, I felt bad for her, I understood why she felt the way she did. After about the 3rd page you understand why she pushes all the people she cares about out of her life. Even Beau. The guy next door, her BFF and the guy she has had a crush on for so long but, even he could not penetrate the wall she has put up.

Beau is a caring and wonderful character. He is leaving for college and really loves Kate. All he wants is to help her and for her to open up to him and tell him why she has pushed people away. I wanted Kate to open up to him to pour her heart out to him, instead she pushes him away.

Then, enter Asher. Ok, I wanted to love him. I wanted to be like

and he is not bad. I mean he helps Kate and he's a great guy, I was just a bit disappointed. I mean its like he shows up and Kate just spills everything. It was so quick. I wanted more of a build. I needed to feel a deeper connection to Asher. I mean I had all these emotions toward Beau and that is who I wanted Kate to be open and honest with. Then, guess what?
Ugly cry.

I liked this book, I like that fact (and you all know I like drama in my books) that the drama element is there. I like that Beau is there for Kate. I like that Asher helps her heal. I like the rawness of this book. I think the only thing I did not like was the way the relationships build so fast. The ending was a bit unsatisfying only because I felt like whom she choses in the end is not because she truly loves him but just seems like oh he's here so I will take him, type thing. Overall though it is a good book that I would recommend.

I gave this book
4/5 hearts
